PUK warns about election fraud in disputed regions

<p style="text-align: left;">The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) expressed its concern over election fraud in the disputed region of Iraq in the upcoming parliamentary election and warned that Hashid al-Shaabi will try to impose its will on Kurds to participate in the polls and vote for special candidates.

a leading member of the PUK, Ghayas Sorchi told a press conference that the presence of Hashid al-Shaabi in some regions of Nainawa province and disputed regions will impact the will of the Kurds in the regions in the elections, as voters worry their votes would be registered for another party or side, al-Mauqaf al-Iraqi reported.

Sorchi further added that the only solution for the trouble is the presence of the Kurdish forces of Peshmerga and federal forces in the regions.
