In his message released on Monday, Rouhani expressed hope the friendly and brotherly ties between Iran and Turkey would be strengthened based on historical, cultural and religious commonalties, good neighborliness, mutual respect and interests, IRNA reported
He also expressed hope for close cooperation between both countries’ officials as regard regional and international development to pave the way for solving problems, promoting peace and stability and increasing welfare in the region.
Rouhani wished health and success for Erdogan and dignity and welfare for the Turkish people.
According to Anadolu Agency, Erdoan with about 52.55% of total votes won the presidential elections.
