According to NRT a person was arrested for linking with the attack.

Erbil Mayor, Nabaz Abdulhamid, told NRT that no casualties have been reported in the incident, occurring around 1:00 p.m. local time.

The mayor further added that a person was arrested and that they are looking for the others using closed-circuit television footage.

Erbil Municipality previously demolished a number of buildings that belonged to the shooter under the auspices of a law related to trespassing on public property, the mayor also said.
