Magnitude 6.5 quake jolts Kurdish city in eastern Turkey

<p style="text-align: left;">A 6.5-magnitude earthquake jolted Friday eastern Turkey Kurdish province of Elazig, according to the country's disaster agency.

Turkey Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) said the epicenter of the quake was Sivrice district.

Authorities are yet to comment on civilian or material loss following the natural disaster.

The earthquake was also felt in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and Syria Kurdistan as well as the Iranian Kurdistan.
