Bruno Kal, head of Germany's foreign intelligence service, warned of a rise in ISIS power after the group's demobilization and its transformation into a decentralized network similar to al-Qaeda.
"Developed terrorism has cost the lives of many people around the world, and the number of terrorists and the danger they pose to the people has increased," the head of Germany's foreign intelligence service told Zeitung.
He said that these events are about to happen, even if there have been no major terrorist attacks in Europe and the United States today, such as the bloody attacks that Shook Western countries in the last two decades, there attacks are about to take place.
Mr. Kal added that since the fall of its alleged caliphate in Syria and Iraq, ISIS has become a decentralized network like al-Qaeda, where its affiliates are expanding.
On Thursday last week, Col. Wayne Marto, a spokesman for the International Coalition Forces, said US forces in Iraq had been attacked by militants which had similar targets like those of the ISIS.
