“As you know, the first phase of the talks between the Kurdish Patriotic Council (ENKS) and the Kurdish Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) parties has ended and the second phase has started," said Fadi Mare’i, the head of the Public Relations Office of the Future Party of Syrian Kurdistan, in an interview with KurdPress.
In this phase, the US representative also attends in the meeting and the parties are exchanging views on important issues such as joint administration and the military and economic situation.
He continued: "It can be said that at this stage there are both different and similar opinions and all opinions are going to be discussed."
The official further told KurdPress that: "Discussion on the basic issues has not started yet and only the parties are expressing their general views."
"As the ENKS, we believe that we must now reach an agreement based on the Duhok agreement," Fadi Mare’i said.
He stressed: the parties should return to the Duhok Agreement and, according to it, reach a joint demand for a joint administration in Syrian Kurdistan.
