According to Sharpress, Mahmoud Osman told Nina News Agency in an interview that the purpose of Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Kadhimi's visit to the Kurdistan Region was to learn the position of regional officials on issues and problems between the two governments and to assess the situation of citizens and the general situation in the Kurdish region, adding that the trip can be effective in solving the existing problems if the talks continue.
The prominent Kurdish politician and former member of the Iraqi parliament noted that at the same time, Kadhimi's visit to the region did not lead to any agreement between the two sides on unresolved issues and problems, but only made better understanding between the two sides and having better understanding about these issues.
He also said that if Kadhimi wants to remain the prime minister of Iraq, he must work to gain the support of the country's political parties and movements, including the Kurdish parties in the autonomous northern region.
