Democratic nominee Joe Biden won the US presidential election last night, November 7, and now he has to deal with Turkey, which is part of its tensions with Washington over US interaction with the Kurds, especially support for the Syrian Kurds.
Donald Trump ousted the Syrian Kurds in the north of the country last year, paving the way for a Turkish invasion, and tens of thousands of Syrian Kurdish citizens were displaced due to the Turkish invasion.
"Joe Biden insists on fair treatment of Turkish Kurds and supports the Turkish opposition - of which the Kurds are a part - against Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan," The Independent reported on the issue.
In a meeting with some New York Times personnel last December, Biden expressed concern about Turkey's current treatment of the Kurds and stressed its support for the opposition in the Turkish election to defeat Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
