PKK releases statement on clashes with KDP forces

<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;">The media center of the HPG military branch of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) called in a statement the December 13 clashes with the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) forces a pre-planned attack.

"In the morning and night of December 13, a car carrying PKK forces was targeted by KDP special forces," the PKK military branch media center said in a statement, referring to the December 13 incidents, adding that "the KDP forces opened fire on the stopped car after realizing that there were PKK forces inside the car."

"At 20:30 on the same day, another vehicle carrying PKK forces was pursued by an armored vehicle equipped with heavy weapons of the KDP forces, and after the vehicle carrying the PKK forces did not stop, they started shooting at the vehicle. Three PKK members were wounded in the two attacks, two of whom are reported to be in critical condition," the statement further added.

According to the Euphrates News Agency, the statement continued: "It is quite clear that a systematic decision has been made to confront the PKK. This is a planned action aimed at attacking our forces. The responsibility for all these events lies with those who designed and executed it."
