According to Kurdpress, after meeting with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on the sidelines of the "Antalya Diplomacy Forum", the President of the Kurdistan Region announced that during this meeting, a very important dialogue was held regarding the strengthening of cooperation between Turkey, Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
Nechirvan Barzani wrote about this meeting in his official X platform account: "Today in Antalya I was very happy to meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan."
He added: "We had a very important conversation about strengthening cooperation between Türkiye, Iraq and the Kurdistan Region and we exchanged opinions about the developments in the region. We also emphasized that both sides are committed to promoting regional stability, development and common security.
Nechirvan Barzani also thanked the President of Türkiye for his "leadership and continuous efforts to reduce tensions and strengthen the stability of the region."
The Antalya Diplomacy Forum, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, will be held this year with the theme "Managing Instabilities in the Future Path" from April 17 to 19, 2026.
