National Army Group denies any military operations in northern Syria

A spokesman for the Turkish-led National Army group has denied any military operations in northern Syria.

According to northern Syrian media, Yusuf Hamoud, spokesman for the Turkish-backed National Army Group, denied in an interview with the North Press on Monday, November 1, that the National Army intends to launch military operations in northern and northeastern Syria on Tuesday.

On Monday evening, media and news agencies reported that Turkey intends to launch a military operation against the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on Tuesday.

Hamoud added: "Any military operation in the Idlib region, especially Jabal al-Zawiyah, will be confronted."

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has previously said that "Turkey may launch military operations against northeastern Syria if necessary."

He added: "This operation may be carried out when necessary and is not reversible."
