Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on October 20 stood out against ethnic discrimination during his visit to southeastern Diyarbakir province.
"Anyone who discriminates on the basis of ethnicity in our country will have to face us first," said Erdogan, who was speaking at the opening ceremony of football stadium in Diyarbakir, Hurriyet daily reported.
Erdogan added that it is not possible to serve the people by helping those who have treacherous aims for the region, singling out the illegal PKK, FETO and IS.
"We are not working to exploit Diyarbakir, but working to construct, develop, boost and provide peace and welfare to Diyarbakir," he said.
