Russia to increase number of its troops in Syrian Kurdistan

The Russian army will send more troops to various parts of Syrian Kurdistan to strengthen its military capabilities.

The Russian military has increased its military presence in Hasaka region to strengthen its military presence in Syrian Kurdistan.

According to K24, 300 Russian military police have been deployed in Hasaka on Monday, January 18.

Dmitry Suntsov, head of the Russia-Syria Joint Monitoring Center, said the troops had been sent to Hasaka to strengthen the defense capabilities of the Russian-Syrian joint checkpoints.

Suntsov added that in the coming days more troops would be sent to Syrian Kurdistan and would be settled in Ain Issa, Tel Tamr and Amoudi.
