Barzani discussed Kurdistan Region interests in Baghdad visit: official

<p style="text-align:left">The former Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Deputy in Kurdistan Region Parliament, Forsat Sofi, told Kurdpress that the KDP leader Masoud Barzani discussed the interests of the regun, including disputed regions, oil, Peshmerga forces and the region's budget share.

He denied reports that Barzani discussed party interests in the visit.
Leading a delegation, Barzani visited Baghdad on November 22 and met Iraqi senior officials including Premier Adil Abdul Mahdi, Parliament Speaker Ahmad al-Halbusi and some other officials.
This was the first Barzani visit to Baghdad after the referendum of independence on September 25, 2017.
Sofi stated that Barzani discussed the future of Erbil- Baghdad ties in the visit, hailing the visit as effective which would ease tensions between the two governments and would pave ways for descalating disputes.
