PUK may nominate Qubad Talabani for vice presidency

<p style="text-align: left;">According to the Kurdish Rudaw TV the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) is working to nominate candidates for posts in the new government of the Kurdistan Region.

According to the report the PUK plans to nominate Qubad Talabani, a leading member of the PUK, for the presidency, a post which the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) has nominated Nechirvan Barzani to take it.

The report further added that the PUK is also seeking to take the posts of deputy premiership and the speaker of the local parliament of the region.
