PUK confirms political deal with KDP

<p style="text-align: left;">The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) spokesman stated on Saturday, April 6, that the party's political bureau had approved the recently announced political agreement with the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) following a meeting in Sulaimani.

Latif Sheikh Omar said told a PUK-affiliated media that the PUK Leadership Council is scheduled to meet on Saturday evening to consider the deal.

The parties announced on Wednesday that they had reached an agreement regarding the allocation of ministries to the PUK in the new Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) cabinet, NRT reported,

Meanwhile, the KDP met with the Change Movement (Gorran) in Sulaimani to discuss the latter's ministerial allocations. The KDP and Gorran signed a political agreement in February.
