Speaking to Kurdistan 24, Nouri Mohammed said the Kurdish forces will defeat any threat coming from the Syrian regime’s army, and they will react as strong as they did against the Islamic State (IS) throughout the past few years.
He noted that they, however, do not seek conflict, but rather a democratic Syria which includes all components to reach a peaceful solution to the prolonged crisis.
Concerning the current situation in Syria and the foreign hegemony on the ongoing conflicts, Mohammed said Russia is maintaining a military presence in Syria, but its influence on Damascus has weakened.
The Kurdish official claimed that Moscow is pursuing its agenda in Syria via Turkey in the post-IS era.
