Iranian, Turkish parliament speakers hold talks

<p style="text-align: left;">Turkey's Parliament Speaker Ismail Kahraman said on Monday in a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Ali Larijani that Iran and Turkey are two big countries of the region and are playing crucial role in international peace.

&ldquo; Our resistance and unity is very important,&rdquo; he said, noting that some intended to mar Tehran-Ankara ties.

Noting that current structure of the United Nation is not suitable for establishment of peace in the world, he said that a general decision reaches the Security Council from above and then five countries discuss it for approval and event one of them can veto it, IRNA reported.

The Turkish speaker maintained that brotherhood and equality prepares good conditions between the two countries, saying that some want to create problems by promoting terrorism and Iran-Turkey interaction can be effective in countering this.

Kahraman is in Tehran to attend the 13th Conference of Inter-Parliamentary Union of OIC member states (PUIC) which opened on Saturday and will continue for five days.
