Former governor Kareem told NRT that he has no bank account in the Kurdistan International Bank, calling the remarks of the lawmaker “incorrect”.

“Lawmakers must provide correct statements … Ali Hama Salih [Kurdish lawmaker] spreads propaganda. I will file a lawsuit against him at court,” he said on Thursday, February 22.

Kurdistan International Bank also said the former governor of Kirkuk has no bank account at the bank, as a response to an official letter from the Kurdistan parliament requested the bank to give an explanation on the issue.

Kurdish lawmaker Ali Hama Salih said on Wednesday that $60 million in Kirkuk Petrodollars was deposited into a private bank account of the former Kirkuk governor and that the money had gone missing.
