<p style="text-align: left;">Former Kirkuk governor Najmadin Kareem said he would file a lawsuit against a Kurdish lawmaker who allegedly said $60 million in Kirkuk petrodollars was deposited into a bank account of the former governor at the Kurdistan International Bank.

Former governor Kareem told NRT that he has no bank account in the Kurdistan International Bank, calling the remarks of the lawmaker &ldquo;incorrect&rdquo;.

&ldquo;Lawmakers must provide correct statements … Ali Hama Salih [Kurdish lawmaker] spreads propaganda. I will file a lawsuit against him at court,&rdquo; he said on Thursday, February 22.

Kurdistan International Bank also said the former governor of Kirkuk has no bank account at the bank, as a response to an official letter from the Kurdistan parliament requested the bank to give an explanation on the issue.

Kurdish lawmaker Ali Hama Salih said on Wednesday that $60 million in Kirkuk Petrodollars was deposited into a private bank account of the former Kirkuk governor and that the money had gone missing.
