Peshmerga official denies cooperation with Iraqi forces in Kirkuk

<p style="text-align:left">Peshmerga Deputy Minister denied reports that there are cooperation between the Kurdish forces and Iraqi troops in the disputed province of Kirkuk in the north.

Speaking with Rudaw, Sarbast Lezgin stated that the ministry has received no demand from an organization or side over the formation of a joint collaboration between Peshmerga and Iraqi forces and the U.S. troops in Kirkuk in order to conduct a joint operation.

The official added that agreement is needed in order to form the room, stressing that the deal should be inclusive and include all disputed region in Iraq which both Baghdad and the Kurdistan Region claim jurisdiction over.

London-based al-Araby daily reported Iraqi forces have been deployed to Kirkuk for conduction a security operation with Peshmerga forces.
