The Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) has released a survey saying the KDP and PUK will possibly get 11 parliament seats out of the 28 seats they won in the 2014 elections, NRT reported.

A recent poll by CSIS about the Iraqi parliamentary elections, set to be held on May 12, shows that 55 percent of Iraqi eligible voters will vote, while the survey has put the rate in the Kurdistan Region at 60 percent.

In the 328 member assembly; Gorran, KIG and the Coalition for Justice and Democracy are likely to only get 7 seats, while KIU will win two seats, according to the survey.

Change Movement (Gorran) and Kurdistan Islamic Group (KIG) won 12 parliament seats in the 2014 elections and the Kurdistan Islamic Union (KIU) won 4 seats.

The poll predicts that the Iraqi Prime Minister’s alliance Al-Nasr will get 72 seats, followed by the Fatih Alliance with 37 seats, al-Sadir’s list 27 seats and Nouri al-Maliki’s list 19 seats.
