Turkey warplanes shell villages in Kurdistan Region

<p style="text-align: left;">Turkish jets on Wednesday (June 20) bombed several villages in the region of Bradost in northeast of Erbil, the capital of Kurdistan Region.

On Tuesday night, the Turkish fighter jets also carried out airstrikes against suspected positions of the Kurdistan Workers&rsquo; Party (PKK) in the Bradost region.

A number of villagers have left their homes in fear of the bombardment, NRT reported.

Turkey has intensified airstrikes against the Kurdistan Workers&rsquo; Party (PKK) positions in the Kurdistan Region since Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced military operations in Qandil and Sinjar regions on June 11.
