Shasho stated that he had no contact with the party during the period of his resignation.
“Today [KDP leader] Masoud Barzani answered me and rejected my resignation,” he said, adding that he returned to the party on the condition that it would implement his demands which he said was for the government to disburse the salaries of 2,000 Peshmerga under his command.
He added that Barzani has promised to do so and told him that he should work along KDP lines.
On November 16, Shasho told NRT that his resignation was because he was not allowed to take part in a ceremony to select the new Ezidi spiritual leader and did not mention the Peshmerga salary issue.
