Hosseini, a member of the representative office of the North and East Syrian Autonomous Region in the Iraqi Kurdistan region, made the remarks about the situation in Qamishli after the recent clashes in the neighborhood.
He stressed that the neighborhood is calm and under the control of Asayesh forces.
Mr. Husseini added that the Syrian government-affiliated Patriotic Defense Group had left the neighborhood and that civilians had returned to their homes, and that a joint patrol of Asayesh and Russian forces were moving around the neighborhood to monitor the calm, and that the Kurdish-controlled administration had used all its facilities to provide services to the neighborhood.
"This neighborhood is now under the laws and supervision of the self-ruling administration and is no longer under the control of the government and government-affiliated groups, and the Kurdish administration is also providing services to this neighborhood," the official further told KurdPress.
He added: "There have been no clashes between the security forces and the Russian forces, and at the request of the residents of the neighborhood, the security forces of Asayesh have been deployed in this neighborhood."
