Sunni coalition refuses to compromise their candidates in Al-Kadhimi’s government

<p style="text-align: left;">The Iraqi Forces coalition, led by Iraqi Parliament Speaker Mohammad Al-Halbousi, announced on Monday its refusal to change the Sunni -component candidates presented to the cabinet of Mustafa Al-Kadhimi&amp;rsquo;s government, while warning from the presence of problems and obstacles preventing the passage of the new government.

"The Iraqi forces coalition has not yet taken any decision regarding changing candidates for ministerial portfolios due to the presence of objections against them by the Shiite political forces," said coalition deputy Entisar al-Jubouri to Shafaq News.

"Up to this moment, we insist on our candidates, whom we presented to Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, and we reject any imposition of will on us by some other political parties," stressing that "with all respect for the partners' options, respecting the options at this time is very necessary, to prevent creating any problems and obstacles to prevent the passage of the new government," Al-Jubouri noted.

"Setting impossible conditions in front of the formation of the ministerial cabinet will prompt Mustafa Al-Kadhimi to apologize for the assignment," explaining that "the political forces did not give freedom to the prime minister in charge for choosing the ministers for the cabinet, and asked him to change the candidates and replace them with other personalities according to what the blocs deem appropriate for them."

"Al- Kadhimi has a few days left as the constitutional period that granted him the ministerial cabinet choice and submitted to the parliament and the formation of the government will be ended,&rdquo; Al-Jubouri pointed out.
