Turkish police security and counter-terror forces arrested a number of Kurdish political and civil activists in Turkey this morning in an operation against civil society organizations and Kurdish political parties in the two Kurdish cities in the southeast of the country, Mesopotamia News Agency reported.
According to the report Diyarbakir police forces attacked some pre-identified placed and arrested members of activists and members of the Association of Women's Freedom Movement (TJA), the Rosa Women's Association, as well as members the Democratic Regions of Turkey (DBP) members and a number of Kurdish political and civil activists, including former DBP president Mehmet, Aylat Akat, the founder of Rosa Women's Association and the head of the association, Edalat Kaya.
Also in conjunction with the operation in Diyarbaker, Turkish security forces in Shanly Orfa also carried out operations against democratic parties in the province (HDP) and DBP. They arrested members of the parties, including Nrin Gazger, Jalal Yuldash, Nazila Torson, a well-known Kurdish politician from Turkey, along with another, and transferred to Deierbaker.
Information from some local sources indicates an increase in operations and arrests against Kurdish politicians and civil activists during the day.
Also along with the operation in Diyarbakir province, Turkish security forces in Sanli Urfa carried out operations against pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) and DBP in the city and arrested members of the two parties, including Nrin Gazgor, Jalal Yuldash, Nazila Torson, a well-known Turkey Kurdish politician, along with some other people and all were transferred to the city of Diyarbakir.
Information from some local sources indicates a daiy increase in operations and arrests against Kurdish politicians and civil activists in the Kurdish region of the country.
