Iraqi PM al-Kadhimi to visit Iran: report

<p style="text-align: left;">Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi is reportedly planned to visit Iran, in an attempt to shield his country economically and politically.

The PM is also expected to make visits to the U.S. and Saudi Arabia, al-Araby said in a report.

Some Iraqi officials say that in his trip to the US, the Iraqi PM will purse Baghdad-Washington's strategical negotiations.

In his recent remarks in a meeting the Governor of Central Bank of Iran (CBI) Abdonnaser Hemmati, al-Al-Kadhimi said that Baghdad will stand by Tehran during the hard times as Tehran did the same.

Iraq will cooperate with Iran to solve the problems for payments of oil and natural gas, the PM said, adding that he has given the necessary orders to the relevant officials.

Agreeing with solving the money transfer problem by providing food and basic goods, al-Kadhimi said Iraqi merchants are interested to cooperate with Iran.

The PM further said that Iraqi officials will use Iran&rsquo;s experience in the fight against challenges, expressing his hope that the oppressive sanctions against Iran will be removed soon.

Trade is a goal of the Iraqi government although the coronavirus outbreak reduced trade, it will increase in the near future, said al-Kadhimi, stressing that all the debts should be paid in full.
