Iraq invites Qatari Emir to attend Baghdad summit

The Iraqi National Security Adviser Qassem al-Araji arrived in the Qatari capital Doha on Saturday on an official visit and presented an official invitation from Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi to the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to attend a late August summit in Baghdad.

According to Al-Sumaria News, the Secretariat of the Iraqi National Security Council issued a statement in this regard that Araji will also discuss and exchange views with Qatari officials on bilateral relations between the two friendly countries in all fields.

At the end of August, a meeting is scheduled to take place in Baghdad in the presence of the leaders of Iraq's neighboring countries (Iran, Turkey, Jordan, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia), along with Egypt and France.
