Kurdistan Region is not an area for ​​PKK activities: PUK official

<p style="text-align: left;">An official of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) stressed that the Kurdistan Region is not the place and field of activity of the Kurdistan Worker&amp;rsquo;s Party (PKK), and that these forces must respect the sovereignty of the region.

Mullah Rahim, the deputy in charge of the PUK in Garmian region, referred to the recent tensions between the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the PKK, and the PKK's action in exploding an oil pipeline in the region and stated that line is a serious loss to the economic interests of the people of the Kurdistan region.

He added that if the PKK should solve its possible problems with the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) or any political party through dialogue and negotiation, because if the problems between the parties are not resolved through negotiations, it will lead to war and armed conflict. And without a doubt, the fratricidal war is of no benefit to anyone and will cause destruction for the Kurds.

Mullah Rahim stressed that the Kurdistan Region is certainly not the scene of PKK activities, and that these forces must respect the laws and borders and the sovereignty of the region and comply with international law so that the Kurdish region would not turn into a battlefield because any war in the autonomous region will make the enemies of the Kurds happy.

The official of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan pointed out that the region is a political and independent structure and the Kurds should protect this experience and prevent its destruction and make it the basis for the creation of an independent Kurdish state in the future.

He warned that disrupting the structure of Kurdistan Region is a big mistake and that any party that acts in this direction will suffer.

Meanwhile, Kurdistan 24 TV channel reported that, today, Wednesday, November 14, a bomb planted by the PKK forces exploded in the Chamanki section of Amidi region, located in Duhok province of Kurdistan region which killed a Peshmerga and wounded some other forces.

An official from the Kurdistan Region Peshmerga Ministry also reported that three Peshmerga officers were injured in the attack.

On the other hand, Qadir Mohammad Jan, a member of the Supreme Political Council and the interests of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, in response to the explosion, stressed that the Kurdish war against the Kurds has no justification.
