Gulf Cooperation Council: Diplomatic solution is the first option

Iran service – The Secretary General of the Cooperation Council considered a diplomatic solution as the first option to end the current crisis in the region.

According to Kurdpress, the Secretary General of the Cooperation Council emphasized on Thursday that a diplomatic solution is the first option for resolving the crisis in the region and stressed the need for the participation of the Cooperation Council countries in any dialogue or agreement in this regard.

According to the Iraqi News Agency, Jassim Al-Badawi said that the member state of the GCC must be present in any negotiations or agreements related to resolving the current crisis.

He warned that any framework initiative or regional arrangement designed to change the map of the Middle East after this crisis is categorically rejected.

emphasized that the first option for the member states of this council is a diplomatic and political solution, because this path is considered the wisest and most successful option.   Al-Badawi

He also warned that disruption of shipping in the strait of Hormuz would not only affect the GCC countries, but would also affect the entire global economy due to the shortage of oil and gas resources in some countries.
