According to Kurdpress, before the war, the price of each domestic gas cylinder was 8500 dinars, but now it has reached 3300 dinars. Currently, gas is abundant at this price, but it is no longer available at the previous rate.
Rudaw TV reported that this price increase has had a major impact on bakeries and restaurants.
The increase in gas price has directly affected businesses for which gas is a key requirement for their daily activities.
Baker Houshang Rashid says "that due to the increase in gas price and other costs, some bakeries and tandoors have closed their shops, while the livelihoods of several families depended on them."
With the onset of the ongoing conflicts in the region, and especially in Iraq, the supply of gas and electricity in the Kurdistan Region has decreased from 24 hours to 10 hours a day.
