According to Xendan news website, the meeting took place between Awat Sheikh, Minister of Finance of the Kurdistan Region and Sarvat Tash, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Turkey Kurdish province of Culemerg and his accompanying delegation in Erbil on Wednesday, November 10.
According to the Ministry of Finance, Awat Sheikh pointed to the role of neighboring countries in the development of the region's economy and said that Turkey is the main economic axis and can develop the industry and economy of the region in the north of Iraq.
Sarvat Tash, for his side, called for the further development of economic and trade relations between the region and Hakkari, and stressed that economic and trade activities could be increased by expanding and developing border crossings between the two sides.
The Hakkari delegation also met with the Governor of Duhok last week to discuss the development of economic and trade relations.
