PUK, KDP agree to form coalition

<p style="text-align: left;">The two ruling parties in Kurdistan Region, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), have made an agreement to form a joint coalition and join political coalition in Baghdad, a leading member of the PUK said.

Adil Bisetoon told al-Tejah Press that the two parties of the KDP and the PUK have accorded to form a joint coalition and join Shiite and Sunni coalitions in the Iraqi capital in order to ease the formation of the government in Baghdad.

He further added that the two Kurdish parties are very likely not to try to win the Iraqi presidency post, a post that belongs to the Kurds, and the KDP has not introduced a person for the post yet.
