According to IRNA the two sides exchanged views on the latest political developments in the region, welcoming the progress in Erbil-Baghdad relations after a period of disagreements and tensions.
The US diplomats underscored the importance of Kurdistan Region’s contribution to the political process in Baghdad, especially since the establishment of a new government in the capital.
They also welcomed the agreement between Kurdistan Region and Iraq to jointly resume the oil exports form Kirkuk.
