According to Deutsche Welle, poverty, inflation and the lack of freedom of speech in Turkey are the reasons that citizens of the country have crowded near the German border and are waiting for asylum in Germany.
The Federal Police Department of Germany has said in a report that in the first nine months of 2022, the presence of more than 5,000 Turkish citizens near the border of this country has been recorded, while during the last year, 2,500 Turkish citizens sought illegal immigration to Germany.
The migration of Turkish citizens to Germany has increased by more than 350 percent this year compared to 2020.
Among the reasons for the increase in the migration of Turkish and Kurdish citizens of Turkey to Germany, are the unprecedented growth of inflation and poverty and the political and social pressures of the Turkish government.
