Amar al-Hakim strongly condemns Chabahar terrorist attack

<p style="text-align: left;">Head of the National Wisdom Movement of Iraq Ammar Hakim categorically condemned a deadly terrorist attack in the Iranian southeastern port city of Chabahar.

Expressing solidarity with the Iranian nation and leadership, and the families of the victims, Hakim issued a statement on Friday and reiterated his unchangeable position in opposing any kind of violence and terrorism.

He once again called on the regional countries to join hands to be able to choke off such bloody plots.

The driver of a Toyota Van, laden with explosives, tried to run into the police headquarters in Chabahar on Thursday morning but police was brave and vigilant enough to take timely action and prevent him to do so, an informed source told IRNA on condition of anonymity.

The suicide bomber then blew himself up and as a result two policemen were martyred and the suicide attacker was killed.

Some 43 others were also injured in the incident, most of whom were soon discharged from hospital after receiving treatment.
