Iran, Russia, Turkey to boost energy cooperation: Lavrov

<p style="text-align: left;">Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday that cooperation between Tehran, Moscow and Ankara will further improve, despite the US profiteering moves.

Addressing a session of Russian Federation Council on Friday, he added that trilateral cooperation in the field of energy will take place independently and away from the US imposed conditions.

According to Russian media, he further noted that efforts are underway to use the countries&rsquo; national currencies in transactions.

The trio does not want to depend on global financial structure controlled by the US, he said.

According to IRNA Lavrov stressed Iran, Russia and Turkey know how to fight terrorism in Syria and have consensus over it.

He further noted that Iran, Russia and Turkey are unanimous over Syrian goals, particularly in fighting against terrorism.

They are in agreement over victory over terrorism, maintaining Syrian territorial integrity and ensuring peaceful life for all ethnic and religious groups, he said.

Although Moscow, Tehran and Ankara have their special approach regarding Syria, they have similar stances vis-&agrave;-vis fighting terrorism, the Russian FM added.
