PUK official denies clashes erupted between Peshmerga, Hashid al-Shaabi

<p style="text-align: left;">A leading member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) denied reports that clashes erupted between the Kurdish forces of Peshmerga and Hashid al-Shaabi forces in Makhmour, northwest of Erbil, the capital of Kurdistan Region.

Rashad Galali told Baghdad al-Yaum that there were no clashes between the two forces in Makhmour, calling the reports as unreal and fake.

It is worth mentioning that the Security Council of Kurdistan Region had earlier expressed its worry over the presence of Hashid forces in northwest of Erbil, stating that the forces are planning to attack the region.
