Iraq looking forward to Rouhani's fruitful trip: FM

<p style="text-align: left;">Iraqi Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Alhakim said Iraq is hopeful about the outcome of the upcoming trip slated to be made by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to Iraq.

Addressing a meeting attended by Iranian and Iraqi experts, Alhakim referred to his meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, saying the meeting was aimed at discussing bilateral and regional issues, IRNA reported.

He added that his meeting with Zarif also focused on the main topics which are supposed to be discussed during Rouhani's upcoming tour.

Iraq is hopeful of Rouhani's meetings with Iraqi President Barham Salih and Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi.

Rouhani&rsquo;s Monday visit to Baghdad is taking place at the official invitation of his Iraqi counterpart Barham Salih.

He will stay in Iraq for three days.

To make preparations for President Rouhani&rsquo;s visit, Zarif arrived in Baghdad late on Saturday.
