“We will clear the entire southern border [of Turkey] from terrorists [i.e. the Kurdish self-defense forces], starting from Manbij, just as we did in Afrin.”
Manbij and Afrin are two Kurdish cities in northern Syria. Turkey-backed forces took the control of Afrin last year in an operation against the Kurdish forces of Peoples' Protection Units (YPG).
