Seth Fantzman, who attended a forum in Sulaimani in Kurdistan Region, wrote in an article released on the website of the institute that Kurdish politicians are still angry with the U.S. as it stopped short of backing the Kurds against the central government in Baghdad.
The researcher added that the Kurds, however, are well aware that the threat of the Islamic State (IS) is not fully aware and that’s why they need U.S. support.
Despite the anger at the U.S. among the Kurdish politicians against the U.S., there is a big inclination towards the U.S. in the region.
