The arrest warrant is in accordance with Article 2 of the Communication Devices Misuse Law.
Asayish (security) forces have arrested eleven New Generation Movement volunteers over the last several weeks and raided the Movement’s offices three times, NRT reported.
It was not immediately clear if when the warrant would be excited or when Abdulwahid might appear in court to answer the charges.
The charges stem of allegations that people close to Abdulwahid attempted to blackmail New Generation lawmakers who had been critical of the leadership by releasing private and secretly recorded videos of them.
