Barzani was first received by Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi where they reportedly discussed the prolonged disputes between Kurdistan Regional Government and Iraq.
He later held a meeting with his Iraqi counterpart Barham Salih.
The Kurdish president also met with Iraqi Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halbousi, BasNews reported.
The implementation of article 140 from the Iraqi Constitution to resolve the deteriorating situation in Kirkuk and other disputed Kurdish territories was said to be on the agenda.
This was Barzani’s first visit to Baghdad since he took office earlier in June.
