Syrian Kurdish official denies suspension of Kurdish-Kurdish talks

A member of the Central Committee of the Syrian Kurdistan Democratic Party (PDK.S) said that Kurdish-Kurdish negotiations are continuing in northern Syria, refuting rumors that the talks have been suspended.

Asked if the dialogue between the Syrian Kurdish National Council (ENKS) and the Kurdish Patriotic Union (PYNK) parties has been suspended, Nafe Abdullah, a member of the Central Committee of the Syrian Kurdistan Democratic Party (PDK.S), said: There is no difference between the to sides to stop the negotiations.

He continued: "The issue has been delayed due to the end of the mission of ‘Zahra Bill’ as the US envoy in the negotiations and has nothing to do with the Kurdish parties."

He added: "The Kurdish-Kurdish talks remain strong and will continue, and we are waiting for a new person to be appointed as the US envoy to the negotiation process."

Earlier, BasNews quoted a reliable source, who refused to be named, as announcing that the talks between the two sides have been suspended due to the end of the mission of "Zahra Bill", the US representative in the negotiations between the Kurdish parties.
