The KDP has won the majority of votes in KurdistanRegion.
KDP lawmaker in Baghdad, Asheaq Jaff said that part of the decisions by the parliament are legal, including the manual recounting of ballots.
However, she said, the parliament is not authorized under any circumstances to annul the result of an election.
As for her party, Jaff noted that the KDP is confident enough about its popularity and votes that it has no objection not only to manual recounting of the votes, but also to repeating the election.
She however warned of parliament’s violation against the law if it annuls the votes for Peshmerga and the Iraqi armed forces.
Remarks by KDP officials came after the Iraqi parliament ordered the manual ballot recounting of the entire polling stations across Iraq, BasNews reported.
The parliament has also dissolved the country’s Independent High Electoral Commission for alleged irregularities in the election, and it has appointed nine judges to the temporary office.
