The U.S. State Department representative in northern and eastern Syria, William Robeck, and his deputy, Emily Brandt, met on Wednesday with officials and heads of the fourteen Kurdish political parties affiliated with the North and East Syria administration, KurdPress reported.
According to the sources the meeting follows an initiative by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Commander, Mazloum Kobani, in order to bring together Kurdish movements in Syria's Kurdish region.
According to KurdPress sources from the meeting, William Robuk and his deputy have travelled to Syrian Kurdistan in order to unite the Kurds following the call by Gen. Kobani.
For months, the US envoy has held meetings with the representatives of Kurds National Council and the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union party (PYD).
