The governor of Amedi, a city in the Kurdistan Region's Duhok province, said that the PKK-Turkey conflict had displaced more than 200 families.

According to the Kurdistan TV channel, the governor of Amedi announced an increase in the migration of residents due to clashes between the PKK and the Turkish army in the border areas of the Kurdistan region.

Ismail Mohammad stated that in the past few days, Turkish airstrikes on the border areas of Kurdistan, including Batifa, Kani Masi and the villages of Amedi, have displaced 200 families who have evacuated their homes.

Governor Amedi added; The families have migrated to the cities and this has caused a lot of economic losses, because most of these families have been engaged in agriculture and poultry farming and have provided their livelihood in this way.

Ismail Mohammad went on to add that clashes between the PKK and the Turkish army have had a profound effect on the city of Amedi and even on the tourism sector, as most of our compatriots are concerned about repeated attacks and clashes, in which innocent civilians are killed.
