Mohsen Taher stated that "the Syrian crisis is considered a part of the Middle East crisis, and the international powers involved in the crisis are trying to resolve the crisis based on their own interests," adding that alongside these powers, regional powers such as Turkey, Iran and the Persian Gulf states are also in the crisis."
According to the KRDnews news agency, Taher referred to the issue of Syrian Kurds and stated "the Syrian system has been central to this day. Power also was in the hands of one party, and no rights were allocated for the Kurds. Now, however, the issue of Syrian Kurds has become serious, and future Syria will not be able to exist regardless of the rights of minorities. The countries in the region should know that Syrian Kurds, like the Kurdish region of Iraq, will be a factor of peace and stability in the region and will respect the principle of neighborhood. Meanwhile, the Turkish government should also know that Syrian Kurds live in Syrian Kurdistan which is their historic lands. They cannot destroy these people by military means and war."
