Another Turkey soldier killed in northern Iraq, bringing death toll to 5

<p style="text-align: left;">Another Turkish soldier was killed on Sunday during a cross-border ground operation into Iraq targeting the outlawed Kurdistan Workers&amp;rsquo; Party (PKK), Turkey&amp;rsquo;s Defence Ministry said.

Specialist Corporal Recep Yuksel was killed in a firefight with PKK members Operation Claw-Tiger&rsquo;s mission area, the Haftanin region of Kurdistan Region in northern Iraq, bringing the total death toll of the Turkish Armed Forces in the region to five.

Turkey launched Operation Claw-Tiger on June 17, targeting the PKK in various regions of northern Iraq in response to an increase in attacks against Turkish military forces.

Turkey regularly targets PKK in operations on home soil and in the Iraqi Kurdish region, where the armed group&rsquo;s headquarters is located.
