SDF foils attack by Turkish forces, rebels in Ain Issa

The U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on Wednesday repelled an attack carried out by Turkish forces alongside Syrian rebel allies against a village in Ain Issa, northern Syria.

The Turkish forces and Turkey-backed militant groups attacked Dibis village in Ain Issa sub-district early on Wednesday, Hawar news agency (ANHA) reported.

A civilian was killed and four others were injured in the attack, ANHA said.

The Turkish military also shelled Khalidiya and Hoshan areas in western Ain Issa town on the M4 highway between Aleppo and Hasaka.

Separately, the Turkish military shelled Tal Madiq, Mount Nayef and the Shahba Dam in Aleppo governorate, the agency said.
